Collections
The creation of a new tool within the site that focused on helping novice users research by theme rather than by screener criteria. The goal was not only to give users a quick way to search heavy content, but to also educate them on the data selections made in order to return specific content that fit within a theme.

Role(s)
Designer
Due to non-disclosure agreements, all my work here will be represented in a white-label generic branding.
Challenges
First project kicked-off and ran completely remote during the COVID pandemic
Back and forth with the clients design team (they would take our files and redesign them when they didnt like the visual styles that we were using.)
Clients design team was looking to implement new accessibility standards on components of the page which ended in extended timelines
Accomplishments
First brokerage in their region to launch a form of thematic investing
Good collaboration with client, design, and financial experts to create and maintain the useful lists of collections
Learned and effectively ran a project completely remote with the change of working from home due to the pandemic.
Kick-off
Kicking off the project, we were given the top collections that the client wanted to create as a starting point. From there we looked to create a high-level architecture map as well as a few starter concepts based on competitive analysis and in-the-wild research we found.
Wireframes
We began by turning our rough sketches into low-fidelity wireframes. Within this process, we continuously iterated until we reached a general flow that was well received by the client.
Wireframe Iterations
Visual Design
Before moving into testing, we looked to implement customer branding as-well-as real content to ensure the testing would come back true to our overarching concepts.
Throughout this process, we worked closely with their designers to ensure that we were meeting the appropriate branding and accessibility standards set forth by their company.
Usability Testing
Moderated and run by the client, usability testing was performed on the concepts to gather specific user feedback on the overall flow, importance of relevant data points, and ease of finding and learning more about the collections methodology.
Throughout the analysis, we gathered the appropriate changes needed to make the project a success. We then went back to the designs and made a few modifications to the content hierarchy and display to help ease a few points of contention found in the feedback.
Final Designs
After learning what the necessary changes were and validating our ideas through usability testing, we revisited our designs and made final adjustments.
Working closely with the clients design team, we ensured everything was brand-compliant and received their blessings on the end product, concluding our design phase.
The development of our work quickly followed the design phase and was launched within a year of finalizing our project.
